Old Friends, chats and London

Welcome to lucky installment 13. We have part 2 of the interview with the legendary Mr. Dan Striepeke, whose work includes the original Planet of the Apes series and who served as Tom Hanks's personal makeup artist for several years. Also stopping by is Mr. Fred Blau from Reel Creations. The 2009 Academy Award winner Greg Cannom chats with Mr. Blasco about his experiences working on 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'. Then MUAtv jumps across the pond to London for the 2009 International Makeup Artist Tradeshow with your host Kelcey Fry. Mr. Blasco visits with Dr. Wes Wheadon and has his eyes examined. Alex Stabler and Marie Del Prete do a hair and makeup demonstration. Enjoy!

Some old friends stop by the studio to chat with Joe Blasco. First we have Dan Striepeke, who was Tom Hanks's makeup artist for several years. Then we have David Dittmar, one of the first apprentices for Joe Blasco. We also have another segment of the historic interview with Vincent J-R Kehoe. Then we head over to Drac Studios for a tour. Kelcey Fry talks with John Caglione Jr. from ‘The Dark Knight’ and Thom Floutz and Mike Elizalde from ‘Hellboy II’. Legendary beard expert, Bob Romero stops by for a chat with Mr. Blasco and then goes to work, showing us why he is the legend. Debra Galvez shows us the fine art of hair flocking, while Connie Criswell demonstrates hair punching and blending.  We see part 4 of our interview with Kevin Haney. The MUATV crew goes on location to Barney Burman’s  Proteus Studio for a tour. And finally we head to Peter Palladino’s photo studio to see Travis Pates demonstrate a beauty makeup. Enjoy!
